Vignobles en Scène 2026: Langlois opens its cellars in Saumur for an immersive tour on 18 October
For the new edition of Vignobles en Scène, the major national wine tourism event, Maison Langlois is taking part on Sunday, 18 October 2026, opening its tuffeau stone cellars in Saumur for a unique experience. The programme includes a one-hour immersive tour designed for the whole family, tracing the journey of Crémant de Loire from vine to bottle through sensory games, challenges and tastings.

A five-step tour, from vine to bottle
The experience offered by Langlois takes visitors through the entire process of creating a Crémant de Loire, with five activity stations following one another throughout the tour.
The vine cycle opens the tour with an activity exploring the key stages in the life of the vineyard, offered at two difficulty levels — adults and children — so everyone can enjoy it at their own pace. A set of laminated cards allows each participant to piece together and understand the vine’s cycle, step by step.
Winemaking then offers a hands-on introduction to the Maison’s grape varieties: participants can taste the juice from each variety, taken directly from a tank, and try to identify them or create their own blend. For younger visitors, a blind tasting of waters with different flavours (sweet, salty, bitter and sour) introduces their palates to sensory analysis.
The traditional method is at the heart of the third station, with an explanation of the different stages involved in making Crémant de Loire — lees aging and riddling on racks — presented directly in front of the cellars and their walls of bottles. This immersive approach makes tangible what figures alone cannot fully convey.
The aroma game invites adults and children to identify, among four vials, which aroma corresponds to each grape variety. An accessible challenge for all, it develops the sense of smell while revealing the distinctive identity of each grape.
The tasting brings the tour to a close with a selection of Langlois cuvées for adults. Meanwhile, children can create their own personalised label and enjoy sparkling and still grape juice — an inclusive way to end the visit together
